TUMI’s comprehensive product warranty reflects our commitment to long-term customer satisfaction. We promise our customers three things:
1. You’ll enjoy our innovative products, designed and manufactured to the highest standards; 2. You’ll receive world-class customer service; 3. Our limited warranty for items purchased from authorized TUMI stores or resellers is as follows: five (5) years for travel, business, and bag collections; two (2) years for wallets and accessories.

First Year After Purchase: Worry-Free
If your TUMI product is damaged within the first 12 months (e.g. due to wear and tear, airline handling, or other transport-related incidents), TUMI will cover all repair costs, including shipping. If the product is beyond repair, we will replace it or offer a comparable product. Damage not covered includes misuse, cosmetic issues (like scratched leather or stained fabrics), or incidental damages such as loss of bag contents or time.

Years 2–5: Extended Protection
For travel bags, business bags, messenger bags, totes, backpacks, and handbags, TUMI will repair any item with material or manufacturing defects or wear and tear during years 2–5. For wallets and accessories, coverage applies in the second year only.
From year 2 onward, the warranty does not cover transport-related damage. Claims for such damage should be filed with the carrier. Other exclusions include misuse, cosmetic issues, or incidental losses (as noted above). Normal wear and tear for TUMI outerwear excludes lost buttons, torn fabric or leather, and cosmetic damage.
You are responsible for sending the product (postage paid) or bringing it to a TUMI store or authorized retailer. A small processing fee may apply. Many repairs can be completed in-store free of charge. If the item must be sent to a TUMI facility, repairs are completed promptly and returned at no cost. If a claim falls outside the warranty, a quote for repairs will be provided.

Long-Term Customer Support
Customers with older bags (5+ years) are offered exceptional service and quality repairs at a reasonable price. If we can’t repair the item, we’ll suggest alternatives. Please call your local service center before sending the item for repair to review potential costs.

Proof of Purchase
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase—it’s required for warranty claims and to show that your product was bought from an authorized TUMI retailer. If you’ve lost the receipt, we may use your Tracer history to verify your claim. Register your product here: tumi.com/tumi-tracer.
Tracer registration records the purchase date in our system, helping to verify warranty coverage. Most luggage, bags, and briefcases include a Tracer number. If not registered, proof of purchase is still required for warranty support.
Note: Tracer registration alone does not qualify as a warranty claim—you’ll need the original receipt for confirmation.
